What Is a Sachet Packing Machine?

A sachet packing machine is automatic packaging equipment that forms small flat bags from roll film, fills them with a measured dose of powder, liquid, granule or paste, and heat-seals them in one continuous form-fill-seal (FFS) process. Typical outputs are 3-side seal, 4-side seal, center-seal and stick pack sachets from roughly 1 ml to 160 ml.

Two working principles cover almost every application: horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS) machines — such as the INMAYPACK HS series — for precise single- and dual-lane sachet production at 30–100 bags/min, and vertical multi-lane machines — the DXD series — that run 4 to 12 lanes simultaneously for outputs up to 500 sachets per minute.

INMAYPACK (INMAYPACK) has manufactured sachet, stick pack and flat bag packing machines in Shanghai since 2009, supplying food, coffee, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and agrochemical producers in international markets.

How to Choose a Sachet Packing Machine

Start with four decisions: product behavior, accepted output, sachet format and dosing method. Confirm them with representative product and film before the machine configuration is released.

Product Behavior

Separate free-flowing, cohesive or aerated powders from granules, liquids and pastes. Product behavior determines the dosing method and whether agitation, dust control, cleaning access or specific product-contact requirements must be included. A multifunction sachet machine can support alternative dosing systems after the application is confirmed.

Accepted Output

Define output as an accepted range for the real product, dose and film instead of relying on a catalogue maximum. Decide whether a single-lane route is sufficient or whether a multi-lane sachet machine is justified, then verify the target during product and film trials.

Film and Project Scope

Confirm the laminate, heat-seal response and print registration under the intended machine conditions. Define coding, tear features, dust control, discharge handling and inspection requirements in the URS and FAT scope.

After the machine route is selected, use the sachet packing machine price guide to compare lane count, dosing, inspection, FAT, delivery, commissioning and initial spares on the same commercial boundary.

What Products Can a Sachet Machine Pack?

A sachet platform can be configured for powders, liquids, granules or pastes when the dosing method, product-contact design, film and cleaning requirements are matched to the application.

Food and Condiments

Sauces, honey, jam, dressings and other portion products require viscosity, particulates, dosing behavior, seal contamination risk and cleaning requirements to be reviewed together.

Coffee and Beverage Powder

Instant coffee, mixed beverages, cocoa, milk powder and drink mixes must be evaluated for flowability, aeration, dust, target dose and the intended sachet or stick-pack format.

Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical

ORS, collagen, protein, herbal powders and liquid doses require project-specific review of dosing targets, hygiene, batch identification, documentation and acceptance testing.

Cosmetics and Daily Chemicals

Shampoo, conditioner, creams, sanitizer and detergent samples require the pump, product-contact materials, stringing control, cleaning access and seal-area protection to match the product.

Agrochemical and Seed Applications

Powders, granules and seeds require application-specific review of containment, segregation, operator protection, dosing behavior, film compatibility and local compliance requirements.

Sugar, Salt and Granules

Sugar, salt, desiccants, tea and spice granules should be checked for particle size, bulk density, target dose, discharge behavior and seal cleanliness before lane count is fixed.

Sachet Packing Machine FAQ

A single-lane horizontal sachet packing machine such as the HS-130 starts from around US$20,000 FOB Shanghai, with the final price depending on the filler type, stainless-steel grade and optional modules like date coders, tear-notch units and conveyors. Multi-lane DXD machines are priced according to lane count and dosing systems. Send your product, dose and target speed for an exact factory quotation after reviewing your requirements.

INMAYPACK multi-lane DXD-900 and DXD-1200 machines reach up to 500 sachets per minute by running 4 to 12 lanes simultaneously. Single-lane horizontal HS series machines run 30 to 100 bags per minute, and the duplex HS-180D reaches 100 bags per minute with two filling stations.

Yes. The multifunction HS series platform accepts interchangeable dosing units — a servo auger or measuring cup for powder and granules, and a piston pump for liquid and paste. The HS-180T twin-bag model can even fill powder and liquid into two connected sachets in the same cycle.

Choose a single-lane HS series machine if you need under 100 sachets per minute, frequent size changes or multiple products on one machine. Choose a multi-lane DXD machine when output above 200 sachets per minute matters most — one operator can supervise up to 12 lanes, which lowers cost per sachet dramatically at scale.

Any heat-sealable laminated roll film works, including PET/AL/PE aluminum foil laminates, paper/PE, PET/PE and BOPP composite films from 60 to 150 microns. Machines accept reels up to 400 mm diameter on a 76 mm core, with photoelectric eye-mark registration for printed films.

After the deposit is placed, INMAYPACK runs sample tests with your actual product and packaging film to confirm dose accuracy, seal quality and speed, then sends full test videos before shipment. Lead time is confirmed in the formal quotation, and every machine ships with a one-year warranty, English manuals and remote LAN support.
