MACHINE ROLE

What a rotary premade pouch machine does

A rotary premade pouch packing machine takes supplied pouches from a magazine and indexes them through pouch pickup, coding, opening, filling, sealing and discharge. Unlike a form-fill-seal system, it does not form the pouch from roll film.

The ZP-8R200 is the machine platform. The dosing system is a separate project layer: a multihead weigher, auger filler, pump or other device must be selected and tested for the product. The finished-pouch result depends on both systems working as one timed process.

Use the pouch filling system selection guide when the pouch supply method or filler architecture is not yet fixed.

WORKING SEQUENCE

See the rotary pouch handling cycle

The video shows pouch feeding, opening, filling and sealing on a rotary premade pouch line. Use it to understand the sequence; use an agreed sample test to approve the actual application.

  1. 01
    Pouch pickup

The magazine presents supplied premade pouches to the rotary transfer system.

  2. 02
    Coding option

A project-matched coder can be integrated when batch or date marking is required.

  3. 03
    Pouch opening

Opening devices prepare the pouch and the referenced configuration monitors unsuccessful opening.

  4. 04
    Product dosing

The selected filler discharges product within the available machine timing and pouch headspace.

  5. 05
    Heat sealing

Two documented heat-sealing stages close the pouch; settings require laminate and product validation.

  6. 06
    Discharge

The finished pouch leaves the rotary machine for the agreed inspection or downstream process.

CONTROL POINTS

Control the pouch through every rotary station

These functions are documented for the referenced configuration. Installed components and options must be reconfirmed in the current proposal.

01

Siemens PLC and movable HMI

The referenced configuration uses Siemens control hardware for parameter entry, status display and operating adjustments.

02

Bag and opening detection

The documented sequence prevents filling and sealing when a pouch is missing or not opened correctly.

03

Safety-door monitoring

Opening a monitored safety door triggers an alarm and stops the machine in the referenced configuration.

04

Cam-driven rotary motion

The mechanical cam structure coordinates the indexed pouch-transfer and process sequence.

05

Double heat sealing

Seal temperature, dwell, pressure and test method must still be validated with the actual laminate and product.

06

Remote program support

Remote program editing is listed for the referenced control configuration; access and service boundaries belong in the signed proposal.

APPLICATION ROUTES

Match the filler, pouch and product as one system

The ZP-8R200 handles the supplied pouch. Product dosing comes from a separately selected filler, and each combination requires its own sample and acceptance review.

01

Granules, kibble and treats

Snacks, nuts, kibble, treats and freeze-dried pet food can be evaluated with a project-matched weigher, product feed and compatible premade pouch. Use the pet food packaging machine selection guide to compare this rotary route with roll-film and small-portion systems before approving the configuration.

02

Powders

Powder projects may use an auger or another suitable dosing method. Validate aeration, dust, settling and contamination near the seal.

Compare powder filling systems
03

Liquids and pastes

Pump selection depends on viscosity, particulates, temperature, foaming, cleaning and the required discharge profile.

Compare liquid packaging routes
04

Irregular pieces

Counted or weighed components require confirmation of product dimensions, bridging risk, pouch opening and discharge control.

05

Zipper and stand-up pouches

Confirm the controlled drawing, zipper position, opening force, usable headspace and seal area with physical samples.

06

Paper or alternative structures

Do not approve a pouch by appearance alone. Confirm heat-seal response, stiffness, opening behavior and finished-pack tests on the proposed machine conditions.

PROJECT SCOPE

Define testing, handover and service before the order

The signed proposal should connect the machine, dosing equipment, pouch, product, acceptance test and service boundary. A generic machine description is not a complete delivery scope.

  • 01
    Confirm the application

Provide the product, dose range, controlled pouch drawing, samples, target output and required options.

  • 02
    Agree the sample test

Record sample quantities, dosing system, run duration, acceptable rejects, seal checks and evidence.

  • 03
    Fix the commercial boundary

Separate the base machine, filler, platform, downstream equipment, installation, training and site duties.

  • 04
    Approve handover documents

Confirm manuals, drawings, component records, backups, spare-parts scope and test records.

  • BUYER FAQ

Questions to settle before specifying the ZP-8R200

How much does a ZP-8R200 rotary pouch packing system cost?

There is no reliable public fixed price for a complete system. The scope can include the base rotary machine, a product-matched filler, elevator or platform, coding, inspection, downstream equipment, testing, commissioning and service. Request a current itemized proposal based on the actual product and pouch.

What pouch types can the referenced configuration handle?

The referenced configuration lists stand-up, zipper, 3-side-seal, flat and paper pouches, with a documented pouch-width range of 80–200 mm. The controlled pouch drawing, laminate, zipper or fitment, opening behavior and physical samples must be approved before the final scope is fixed.

What speed and filling range should be used for planning?

The referenced configuration lists 20–60 pouches per minute and 10–2,500 g, both dependent on the product, dosing system, pouch and required finished-pack quality. Record the accepted output and test conditions in the proposal, URS and FAT plan.

How is a rotary premade pouch machine different from a form-fill-seal machine?

A rotary machine picks up supplied pouches and moves them through opening, filling and sealing stations. A form-fill-seal machine forms the package from roll film before filling and sealing it. Compare pouch sourcing, format, product behavior, output and changeover requirements in the pouch filling system selection guide.

What should be tested before the purchase order?

Confirm the real product, controlled pouch drawing, samples, target dose, filler, options and accepted-output target. Agree sample quantities, run duration, reject rules, seal checks and evidence before the test.

What warranty and after-sales support are included?

The referenced quotation lists a one-year machine guarantee and separately scoped on-site service. Final warranty coverage, spare parts, travel, installation, training, remote support and response boundaries must follow the current signed proposal.
