From roll stock to a finished zipper pouch

What is the HMK420 flexible packaging machine?

The HMK420 is a horizontal form-fill-seal machine that makes zipper stand-up pouches from roll film, opens each formed pouch, receives a measured product dose, seals and cools the top, then discharges the finished pack.

Select its forming modules, dosing equipment and connected accessories for the actual product and package. A line using supplied, already manufactured bags follows the separate premade pouch packing route.

Pouch formats & forming options

Make the package your product needs

The referenced project combines a bottom gusset, zipper, tear notches and a Euroslot. Selected modules and tooling determine the installed package features.

The gummy-cluster proposal pairs the HMK420 with a multihead weigher, product elevator, installation platform and outlet conveyor.

Pouch forming & sealing

HMK420 main machine

Forms and handles the roll-film zipper pouch. Its project output target is 80 bags/min, with the approved product and material.

Separate dosing component

14-head multihead weigher

1.6 L bucket reference; 30–1,000 g weighing range. The proposed gummy packs target 85 g and 150 g.

Selected connected equipment

Feed, platform & outfeed

Review product loading, access to the weigher, supporting platform and finished-pouch discharge with the full line layout.

Read the separate weigher and complete-line boundaries

The selected weigher lists a theoretical 120 ppm speed and theoretical 0.5–1.0 g accuracy; both vary with the product and target weight. These component values do not establish accepted HMK420 line output or finished-pack accuracy.

  • Confirm the named weigher and hopper arrangement for your product
  • Approve the full layout, working platform, elevator and cleaning access
  • Include accessory power, air and other utility requirements
  • Agree accumulation, inspection, reject and downstream handoff duties
  • Resolve the proposed platform dimensions in the approved layout; the quotation and technical table differ

Buyer questions

Flexible packaging machine FAQ

Direct answers about the HMK420 package route, output references, fillers, line layout and quotation.

What does a flexible packaging machine do?
It handles flexible packaging material and product dosing within the selected package-making process. The HMK420 described here uses roll film to form, open, fill, top-seal and cool zipper doypacks in a horizontal form-fill-seal line.
Does the HMK420 use roll film or premade pouches?
This HMK420 route forms the pouch from roll film inside the machine. A supplied finished-pouch machine uses a different pickup and opening process. Compare the material supply, package, output and format-change requirements before choosing the route.
What packing speed is referenced for this configuration?
The gummy-cluster project proposes 80 bags/min for the line. Final output depends on the approved product, film, pouch geometry, filler and test criteria. The HMK-family description of other configurations is not the accepted speed of this project.
What pouch size range is listed?
The main-machine table lists 100 × 130 to 210 × 270 mm. The two proposed face-size references are 100 × 130 and 200 × 200 mm. Release the complete dimensional drawing, including gusset, zipper, seal widths and retail features, for each format.
Which pouch features can be included?
The referenced project includes a stand-up bottom gusset, zipper, tear notches and Euroslot. The selected tooling and forming modules determine the delivered package features. Include their exact dimensions and positions in the approved drawing.
Which weigher is listed for the gummy application?
The proposal lists a 14-head multihead weigher with 1.6 L buckets and a 30–1,000 g weighing reference. Its theoretical 120 ppm and 0.5–1.0 g figures vary with product and target weight; finished-pack output and dose results require integrated testing.
Can the machine be reviewed for coffee beans or ground coffee?
Yes, submit the coffee and pouch requirements for configuration review. Beans and ground coffee need separate dosing assessments. Confirm product condition, dust control, barrier material, gas or valve requirements, cleaning and the accepted production test.
Can powders, liquids or pastes use the same configuration?
Different products can require an auger, pump or other selected filler and different product-transfer arrangements. The gummy-cluster configuration does not establish performance for powder or liquid applications. Confirm the exact model, dosing system and test conditions for the proposed product.
What happens when a pouch fails to open?
The referenced design describes bag and opening detection that prevents filling and sealing when the required pouch or valid opening is missing. Verify detection and reject handling with actual pouch material during the agreed factory test.
What determines the complete-line footprint and utilities?
The main-machine reference is 11,500 × 1,300 × 2,000 mm, 18 kW and 0.5 m³/min air at 0.6 MPa. The selected weigher, elevator, platform, outfeed and access clearances require their own space and utilities. Approve a complete layout and installed-load schedule.
How much does an HMK420 flexible packaging line cost?
Request a current itemized quote. Price depends on the machine variant, pouch tooling, filling equipment, accessories, inspections, test scope and project services. Provide the product, film, pouch drawing, dose range, output requirement and destination.
What installation, warranty and support are included?
Confirm installation responsibilities, commissioning, operator training, documents, recommended spares, warranty coverage and support in the current quotation. The approved project terms define what is included and any separately priced services.
